Land Use Permits
Posted by G Scherrer on Mar 01 2006
Sometimes, maps don't tell the whole story.  Went Caribou hunting one year near the Mulchatna.  While there, another plane came in and the guy Jim West was adamant that the land we were on was his, and we had to get out.  Guy did have a Private Property sign some distance from where we were camped.  Of course, being in the bush, we had no way to check this out at the time.  Turns out his permit was only to cache his stuff during hunting season and he had no right to try and force us off the camping spot.  Guess the moral is, don't believe everything somebody tells you, and some people post things they have no right doing!
