i tried to qualify the question, i wouldn't take a risky shot...
SURVIVAL situation was a good way to put it...THAT'S what i meant...
so what say ye now?
ok, it's down to
1) neck/spinal shot   or
2) head shot                          
   50 yards, confident of your shooting...get the animal and you live, don't get the animal and you starve and die.  Which shot?
