What's the best shot here?
Posted by AlbertJohnson on Feb 28 2006
My buddies and i got in a argument/discussion...suppose you have a front on shot, dead front on, on a deer, moose, goat, whatever...and just suppose it's the only shot you think you'll get...it's almost dark, from the movement of the animal the next steps will be out of sight or over hill, whatever, you don't think you'll get another better shot...but this shot is clear and easy, except it's dead on front...(you are at 50 yards and confident of your shot placement)

Is your best shot
1)  blow through the sternum or try to shoot just under the sternum?
2)  try a head shot, maybe through the eyes
3)  or try a neck/ spinal cord shot?
Which would be the best shot to take?

Next: ? shot shphtr Mar 01 2006
