ruger mark2 338 --- floating stock or not

hopefully someone is familiar this with rifle. But I was wondering whether or not this particular gun comes with a floating stock, and if that is even a good thing. I'm a shotgun shooter that has little experience with rifles. So if you could fill me in on this subject i'd be greatfull
