You'll find some of the best reading about handloading the big bores and how real life effects vs. paper ballistics sometimes differ greatly. I am by no means an expert in this fiels but knowing garrets history would tend to believe what he has to say here. Makes me happy knowing when carrying that little Marlin cannon that I've probably got as effective short range bear medicine one could ever hope for-with the quickest four shots to boot!
