[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Spring Spot and Stalk Posted by Ak Steve on Feb 28 2006 This might be a dumb question, but is anyone out there busting black bears via spot and stalk, rather than baiting, in the spring? I am not looking for a coastal bear chewing on beach rye, but maybe something off the Kenai trail system? I've always held the belief that the bears will move uphill with the fresh greens, as they come out, in the spring. My seven year old wants to get a bear, and since I don't have a boat anymore, a little walk-in spot and stalk might be a good.
