45-70 & Brownie

Looking for a story from anyone that has actually used the 45-70 to take a Brown Bear. What was the distance,load, etc. I keep mine loaded with 400 gr. Kodiak's and sometimes carry it on hikes and fishing trips. I don't hunt with it and don't plan on using it for Big Bears as I have other rifles for them. Just looking for first hand accounts and results with the 45-70.
