Hi folks.  Down in the lists were some comments about wolf and wolvering sightings during the fall hunting season.  I'm curious how common these sightings are with the rest of you.  If you would care to post on it, it might be interesting.  Here are my numbers:

Years hunting Alaska: 20
Wolves sighted during fall season: 6
Wolverines sighted during fall season: 3

The low numbers are probably due to the places I hunt, but I'd be surprised if we don't end up with something similar from other hunters.  So does it really pay off to purchase the extra tags if you're a nonresident hunter?  How many of you nonresidents actually shot a wolf or wolverine incidentally on a hunt for something else?
