tend to agree Mark
Posted by northway on Feb 04 2006
Mark,

I tend to agree.  I am more interested in doing some of this in an area where I trap and hunt.  I honestly could care less about some of the other areas.  I am hoping that we can at least get the baiting closer to me this spring, if not, I will just have my black bear stands where I usually bait.  I am not going to go spend weeks of my time searching for one bear.  YOu may be totally right in what you say.  I guess we don't know.  I have a few places that can sell some hides and make it worth my time, so I will be looking at putting in some time doing it.  IF not, then I will be off to southeast this spring looking for a real brown bear!

If I was in Vegas, I would put money on the same day land and shoot of bears to be passed.  I am a gambling man though, so I would risk some on that!  Maybe we are overdoing it, I guess I am a little on both sides of the fence.  I tend to agree with you and tend to agree on giving it a try.  I hope it doesn't back fire and make us look bad.  I guess there are a lot of factors that we must take into account while this all happens.  Like I said before, if the baiting is as successful as last year, the grizz will be just fine!! SMILE!

A cool -38 this morning.  Gotta love living in paradise!!
