and also there has been a fair price for wolf pelts for some time but as with any intelligent predator there are special people with special skills that catch or kill those wolves. Just because you can sell grizzly hides doesn't instantly make people more prepared to outsmart an animal that does everything it can to avoid humans. Nor does it give people an upperhand on geographic obstacles with lots of cover as such these bears live in most of the time. Big bait and the right bait strategically placed with people willing to harvest the bears is the only solution without getting into shooting from helicopters and stuff.
