selling bear
Posted by northway on Feb 01 2006
I guess we can all sit here and "speculate" what will happen.  Know one knows what will happen.  If the baiting from last spring is an example of what could happen, the grizz don't have much to worry about.  I have supported the sale of bear hides and still do.  I am not sure what affect this will have on the population nor do I know the affect it will have on the moose population and no one else does.   This is going to be an "interesting" scenario to say the least.  I do know that the moose calves need some help.  I do know that Mark you are right in how areas that were previously not hunted are now accessed.  There needs to be some control on areas where atv's can go.  We do need some more controlled use areas and some "common" sense when it comes to the use of atv's.  I have seen first hand what a "group" of idiots could do out in Mosquito Flats. It is criminal and they should be held responsible for the environmental damage they caused.
