Posted by BRWNBR on Jan 31 2006 why does everyone referr to the 45/70 in the same sentance as "brush". they actually studied "brush guns" a while back and found the .270 to be a better brush gun than the 45/70. wouldn't it make sense that a bullet with more frontal mass would be worse in the brush, and if its already going pretty slow, won't it go even slower after it hit some brush? seems like your .375 would be a better "brush gun" aside from the easy handle 45/70's are typically quite short and easy to manuver in the brush. no disrespect ment, just seems like an odd choice for brush, i wouldn't doubt that brush and 45/70 are more like urban and legend.
