over blown? interesting comment
Posted by jklingel on Jan 31 2006
I won't argue calibers 'cause I don't have much data. I am sure that virtually any high powered rifle is a killer in the right circumstances. The issue for me is not killing, it is stopping, and doing so ASAP. Maybe you can't stop one, but I'd rather have a little more push than an '06 provides if I have to try. I have a hard time believing that the power of a brownie is over blown, too. Perhaps Mr Shu would expand on that point and put it in perspective if he were here. Don't know. Maybe he is referring to people who think they are gods and unstoppable; don't know that, either. I can't imagine much worse of an animal to really piss off, though. An animal that can easily drag, or maybe carry, a moose is something that needs the utmost respect. My thoughts.
