Cast the first stone
Posted by akflyfisher on Jan 24 2006
Wow! Game coming into feeders! Sounds somewhat like my bait station?? I am not saying that this is the most ethical way to take a deer but who am I to judge another. I agree that shooting tame deer is not hunting but rather culling but for those with the money, go ahead. That is less people in the woods while I am out there. If they are spreading CWD, shut them down. Regulate them??
How about stocked fish? Pheasant farms? Even some states stock pheasants in the field for hunting season to suppliment the almost non-existant wild birds (PA for example).
Let these guys cull as many tame deer as they want, it wont keep me up at night. Just so long as they don't waste the meat.
So, if you have a bait station, hunted a pheasant farm, hunted birds enhnaced by the state, or fished in an enhanced stream or river reconsider casting the first stone.
Just my $0.02
