I've been to the N. Fork more times than I can count. But that gate is locked for a reason. It's private property. I've been on that trail, not 12 miles, more like 5. The owners are very much trying to stop the folks who are trashing the trail, and I fear the escalation of confrontations in there is soon going to turn ugly.
