[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] .44 Mag Posted by Jake_65_65 on Jan 19 2006 I know the old guys get tired of hearing this question, but I honestly can't get enough of it and the whole thought process that goes into taking the correct firearm into the field and being profecient with. My question is a while back someone posted that they had killed a bear with a .44 mag with hardcast bullets. If I remember correctly they stated that the bullet went through both shoulders and exited the other side. If the person who posted that could post some more in depth information I would find it very interesting. I also thought that it was pretty sobering that only about 50 percent of bear attacks were thwarted with a firearm.
