Is it enough?

Any handgun will only give a very small amount of stopping power compared to most rifles we carry up here. If you are charged you will likely only have time for one aimed shot anyhow so carry the biggest round you can. I never did understand why hunters who are carrying a rifle carry a sidearm at the same time for protection. If they needed it they wouldnt have time to toss there rifle and pull it from the holster anyhow. However, if you are not carrying a rifle a large handgun makes perfect sense, if you can shoot it well in a panic situation.
