safety first and always
Posted by holly on Jan 15 2006
hi bushrat,
i honestly expected a lot more responses than i got. i agree with you and wouldn't argue with anyones efforts to be more safe. it's a sad deal when accidents happen. here, i've personally treated gunshot wounds due to accidental discharge of a weapon (in this case a kurdish soldier in the Iraqi army shot part of his hand off and hit his thigh with an ak47). if you want to really shudder at lack of discipline from muzzle awareness, you should see what a lack of training for safety looks like in other militaries.....but i digress. i am in a unique situation where there's no choice but to demonstrate at all times muzzle awareness and it works. it has to. like you and the rest of us, i won't hunt with anyone that is unsafe. thankyou for your good post and well wishes.
