Posted by Bigmnt on Jan 13 2006 I have read that the wildlife in Alaska belongs to the residents of Alaska, and that "natives" only have property rights, but should not be entitled to the regulating of hunting on their land. Hmmmm..?? So, Why do we have Federal Fish and Wildlife Agency? Are not the wildlife within Alaska property of the State? Why is wildlife enforcement code included in the interstate commerce clause? So why is it that a huge chunk of Kodiak Island is National Wildlife Refuge and game laws are set by the Fed's? Just trying to sort this out in my pee sized brain...
