boat launch??
Posted by BRWNBR on Jan 12 2006
the boat launch gonna charge you more if your have a bigger boat? or catch more fish, or if your hunt rather than fishing, or how many people are in your boat?
i agree to some extent on whats going on here, different fees for different animals. i respect the land use access fee and respect that, it just seems like a little bit of the shaft to have to pay more for nothing. the native corps do don't do anything for you in return, execept allow you to walk onto there land with a differnt tag in your pocket. geez thats nice of them. i guided a bay on kodiak surrounded by a 200 yard strecth of native land, state land behind it. just to cross that stretch of land with a bear tag in our pockets..to ACCESS the state land, cost us 1500. animals ain't even the issue, ownership of the land and animals isn't the issue. MONEY is the issue. coming from a people who based there exsitance on "who can own the land and the air and the see, who can own the fish and the bear?" lots changed since the first check was cashed. But like say, if i wanna hunt there, i'll pay it. no choice, we gave them the land, they'll take us to the cleaners if they feel like it. i'd rather do a marginal hunt and save the bucks than hunt the private land and still have just the same odds and shooting something. just becuase is private...in some cases don't mean much.
