I understand what you're expressing, I just think you're wrong. If the native corporation charged me $150 to catch pinks and I accepted that, would I be willing to pay $500 to catch world-class silvers? I just might. Others might, too. It's what the market will bare. Others will keep their money and fish elsewhere. It's their choice.

Like I said before, take your chances and hunt Afognak's public land. Your choice. Not all of Afognak is privately held. Just the best part is.

Sometimes the best boat launches are on private property. The owner doesn't own the river, and I probably have free, albeit less advantageous options to launch into the same river, yet I see a value in paying the fee and going fishing. Has that ever happened to you?
