math and guides
Posted by BRWNBR on Jan 12 2006
its hard to take a price tag, do the math and figure what a guide makes. show me a guide who's wife don't work full time and i'll show you a guide scratchin' during the winter. been there...doing that. guides have a pie...and everyone body wants some of it...we usually can make off with some crust. as most guides say, "if i wanted to make money, i'd have quit guiding years ago.."
As for mr. strahan, i'd be honored if he had my back going into the brush after a gut shot brownie..i understand his points and understand how they can be misconstrued. Shy of being present at any given situation we'll never fully understand them.  One vise we run into with this online electric conversation is the lack of expression and tone...so we've got to allow for that and be patient with each other.
I'm a guide, i almost make a living..i'm selfless but i'm also a hunter, you cut me off on a stalk and i'll speed up, i come over the ridge and your on a stalk..i'll give you directions. see you in the woods.
