Advice
Posted by sal on Jan 12 2006
Thanks to all that chimed in.  Useful information for me to make the final choice.  For the record, I've primarily used Leupolds but have also used a Burris scope that I liked.  I even have a Monarch in the safe that's earmarked for a long range project gun (Sako TRGS 338 Lapua) that I have yet to get started on.  In all probability, I'll be going with the 2.5-8 Vari-X III.  I'm gonna see if the folks at the shop will let me walk outside at dusk to test her next to a Monarch.

Thanks again.
