[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] exclusive areas Posted by Sollybug on Jan 11 2006 I have hunted areas of the Wrangells where the air taxis told me their practice of not wanting to intrude on the guides areas. They took me to other areas. It went both ways in this instance. The guides didn’t hunt the air taxis areas either. It was mutual and we each got our hunting experience. But, if a guide was trying to lock up an unreasonably large area (like Maccoll Ridge), the only available landing strip, or was hassling legal hunters it used to be that they could lose their guiding license for hassling a sport hunter and they would be investigated so they wouldnt even approach a hunter. Also hunting near a guiding area can be great hunting as they can push all the game into nearby areas that they cant reach with their horses. Just some suggestions for handling problem guides… Previous: You said it all Rutting Moose Jan 11 2006 Next: world record ram Chisana Jan 10 2006 Message Thread:
