I owned a Nikon for about a week and it would only hold a zero for about 6 shots.  I have 4 leupolds and a zeiss and never had any complaints.  The zeiss is better for dusk/dawn however.  By the way I fell sheep hunting once and put a sizeable dent in the object. bell of my leupold (hit it hard).  Shot it when I got home and it was 2 inches right but good as new.  That sold me on leupold.
