world record ram
Posted by Chisana on Jan 10 2006
I believe the Swank ram (B&C world record) was taken from the Ram Glacier area rather than Maccoll Ridge.  Perhaps there is an SCI or P&Y world record Dall ram that came from Maccoll that I am not familiar with.

Ram Glacier is in the "hard park" whereas Maccoll is in the preserve.  Some individuals have accessed the ridge via river boat.  As an aside, I believe the largets rams in Alaska are currently found in the Chtinia Glacier country and the mountains south of the White River.  Both areas are only available to subsistence hunters.
