Business sense

If I was an air charter/transporter business, and I was ethical, wanted repeat customers, etc. etc. I probably wouldn't take the "do it yourself" guys to places already being hunted by a guide service. We have already seen, on the other thread you mentioned, complaints of transporters dropping off loads of hunters on one another. If a guide service regularly hunts an area, especially a sheep area, I would assume that success rates for other hunters accessing that area would be low.
As was mentioned, the air charter might already be getting the guides regular biz. Can't blame him for wanting to keep that........especially if he has found a guide that actually pays his bills regularly.......those are hard to find......haha.
Some of you seem to be unaware that safe landing places are not around every corner in Alaska. Perhaps this ridge you speak of only has one or two safe landing areas, thus there would be a limit to the number of people a charter service, at least an "ethical" one would want to drop into these landing areas.
Or maybe there is just a conspiracy between guides and transporters to lock up the whole state for their private use!
