It happens all the time. The guides offer more business to the air taxi operators, and they take care of each other.

Recently I was honestly told by an air taxi operator that he didn't want to fly me into a particular valley because his brother, a guide, was working the valley. I know they consistently take two moose per year out of there, it's extremely difficult to access, and I've flown it in Oct and seen lots of moose.

I hope they don't get ugly when I show up there anyway, because that's what I'm working on. I'm pretty sure I can do it with my Argo.

I've seen other guides disappointed when we've shown up, but only one got ugly.
