I always tell customers that it's better to put a $500 scope on a $100 rifle than a $100 scope on a $500 rifle. Stick with a quality manufacturer like Leupold, Nikon, Swarovski, Leica, Zeiss or even Sightron and spend as much as you can afford, you won't regret it. (I prefer Leupold because of their warranty, customer service and proven reliability - made in the USA to boot!) I think the quality of the glass is much more important than the power of magnification. If you can afford the Vari III get it, otherwise the Vari II will probably serve you just fine for the life of the gun and beyond. Previous: Scope Advice sal Jan 10 2006 Next: Nikon!!!!
