Sounds like Alaska is catching up with the Lower 48.  It's really bad down there and getting worse, but when you look at the details it's hard to fault most of the landowners.

The biggest problem is that we are being overrun by slob hunters and irresponsible ATV users, so the rest of us are paying the price.  That doesn't even take into account the bad rep for gun owners because of the irresponsible few.  Until we can help landowners distinquish between us and the slobs, it's easier for them simply to staple up a sign and be done with the lot of us.

As for the legal side of whether they can do it--- yup.  And can they and their friends still hunt it---  yup again.

More folks are being squeezed onto public land, and with more postings it's only going to get worse.  Short of more public land, there only appear to be two answers:  Buy/lease land, or wait for the numbers of hunters to keep dropping so there won't be so many squeezing onto public land.
