"POSTED"
Posted by Akres on Jan 10 2006
Took a drive out on Pt Mac, to see how things are changing out there, since all the publicity about a new bridge. WOW  Posted signs all over the place. Spoke with one lady at one of the "Farms", she said she and her family can hunt on the property, but no one else, because she has it posted. Don't seem right to me, but dunno if all this is legit. I havn't hunted this area since the sixties, or any of the road accessible areas much. Saw a lot of posted signs around Glenallen and some new ones around Cantwell.Seems like opportunities are few, and increasingly fewer, for the weekend hunters, be it big or small game.
In Alaska, can landowners lock up private property for themselves to consume public resources? Or, if one posts their property, should it apply to themselves as well? I don't like where all this is going, only for the future of young hunters.
Time was "Trespassing" meant vandalism, seems to me that simply walking and hunting on private property now constitutes trespassing. Am I a dynasour or what?
