I realize you guys have alot more experience than most out there.  I myself have a hard time with the fact that everybody gets all spun up about 1/2 to 1X power ratings.  I just cant in my mind justify the price difference or performance difference between a 2.5-8 and a 3-9?  I dont think my eyes could see a 1/2 to 1X power difference any direction. On my last scope I beat myself up trying to decide on a 2X7 or a 3X9 which was more economical.  I finally went with the old standby 3X9.  I just cant see its that big of a deal.
