Hi Murphy,

Thanks for the info. I helped a farmer a lot building fences, putting out brush fires, haying the cattle, and other chores when I was in high school. He never gave me a rifle, but I did get a box of sticky buns each time I showed up as well as a box of .22 shorts for blasting tin cans off the fence posts. I liked your story as well as the alternative of using something other than a 30-30 or 30-06.
