working better, but not 100%
Posted by seekins on Aug 31 2005
Thanks for all the replies. This is my first time with Meindl boots. I have had tecnica boots for the last few years. Unfortunately they quit making the ones I liked. I go through a pair of boots every hunting season covering lots of ground. Elk hunting in the high country is extremely hard on them. I didn’t realize cabelas had the inferior product, but it makes sense. Im going to order a pair from AJ brooks for backup when I return. If these don’t work out I will send them back and tell them to quit selling imitations.

Every 2-3 years I have a boot problem. Why can’t they just make one that works and keep making it. I loved my Technica’s they fit right away and didn’t need broken in. They were light, stiff and waterproof. The outside of the leather was coated in a rubbery material and they even had Kevlar on the sides that sharp rocks wouldn’t touch. They lasted the longest by far. I got 2 seasons out of them. I almost cried when I couldn’t find them again. Hopefully I can find piece with the Meindl’s. So far nothing is working like i want.
