[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] meindls Posted by northway on Aug 30 2005 I bought a pair that was doing the exact same thing. My buddy bought a pair the year before, same size, etc. My right boot was doing exactly what you explained. It really hurt going up the mountain. We put his boots and my boots next to each other and you could see where they were different. The tongue of mine was shorter, etc. I immediately sent them back to Cabelas with the pictures and explanation. I didn't hear back, but got my money back and ordered a pair of what I believe were the Taiga's (not 100% sure if this name is correct. They are awesome boots that cost $100 less and weighed substantially less. I have went through 3 seasons with them and they are holding up better than my friends Meindls. Fact is, Meindls sole on the toe really wears out fast. My last pair of Meindls did the exact same thing. I would send them back as I believe your pinching is caused by the plastic insert on the toe of the boot and you aren't going to "break" that part in.
