I suspect you just don't have the right size boots.  Regardless the temps in a good pair of hunting boots I wear 2 socks.  Gives extra cushion and padding.  I vary what type according to the weather.

Nikwax is a good option to try at this point.

Other than that, I've never broken in a boot in 2 weeks.  I"m sorry but I fail to be able to figure out folks that buy boots a week or two before a hunt.  I  wear my new ones to work and around the house for a minimum of 6 months to break them in.  Once done they'll last the life of the boot.

Have you also thought about taking them to a good old fashioned leather shoe shop?  May be able to stretch that one area, but I'd be afraid of the goretex failing.

For that reason the best thing you can do is contact Meindl directly through their website and find out whats best.

Best of luck, make sure you take plenty of blister stuff along for 2 week old boots!
