minto
Posted by tbnature on Aug 30 2005
Have you been down that way before?  With the Tanana water dropping quick with the cold weather be careful around Old Minto and the entrance into Swanneck.  Should not be a problem as long as you stay in the main channel.  Otherwise once you get there you will not have problem finding ducks.  Just follow the main rivers- Swanneck then Tolovana and hunt the ponds along the edge.  That is just the southern edge of Minto Flats.  If you want the real lakes drive to Minto and head in, else expect a long ride in the boat- 3-4 hours on way from nenena.  Email me if you want more info.
