I debated posting this under the fishing forum instead of this hunting forum, but the ultimate purpose of the trip won out...

My father and I leave in two weeks to spend 5 days hunting caribou out of Kotzebue.  We have contracted with a local guide to supply all the field supplies as well as drop us off and pick us up.

Assuming close proximity to water, we would like to do a little fishing as well as bou hunting.  I'm curious about the type of fish we might expect to catch and whether or not they will be edible.  Also, what type of tackle should we take?

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
