Sounds good

David,

I'll chime in in support of Bushrat's ideas too, and add a few other things;

1.  Require folks to use REAL NAMES so we can identify the ones firing shots at us from the darkness of anonymity!  :-))  (sorry MT)

2.  Photos; how about if each member had a limit of one or two pics that could be used with their resume?  They could change them out any time they like.  You'd have to be set up so they auto format (is that possible) so they're downsampled to 72 dpi and a fixed dimension, otehrwise they'd get out of hand.  Failing that, how about just including instructions and recommendations for personal web space where folks could do it themselves?  Perhaps ODD could sell some space to folks wanting it?  I think more people would post pics if they knew how.  Probably a LOT of them already have personal webspace with their ISP, but they don't know it or know how to use it.  Something to chew on anyway...

3. Edit/delete... mmmmm....  Not so sure about that one.  Threads and posts would mutate on the fly and responses would no longer apply.  Most folks have a word processing program such as Microsoft Word.  If they type lengthy replies there and run spell check before they copy / paste it into the browser, it catches the worst errors.  I frequently do that.  A side benefit is that it makes me think about what I'm saying.  Many times I've deleted such ravings and was glad I took the time to think about what I was saying.  I wish more folks did the same, and that I was more consistent with it too.

4.  RSS could work- possibly connected somehow with the newsletter?

Nice discussion.

-Mike
