Boat/Yukon
Posted by Phil on Jul 31 2005
The Yukon is a BIG river. I've spent a lot of time float hunting and no time hunting with a power boat. My first reaction is that you don't have enough boat/motor for the Yukon. Especially if you are successful. My suggestion would be to start another thread and ask the forum members about an adequate powerboat for the Yukon.

I'm probably just a chicken but I wouldn't want to be on the Yukon in a 14 ft boat. If you do go, I strongly suggest that you take a satellite phone in case you get into trouble.

Hope this helps.

p.s. Most of the boats I saw on the Yukon were jet powered boats.
