I just got back from a week+ on the haul road....start to finish.  It's been a week and a half since I got home.  Didn't see any 'bou south of Atigun.  In fact, the most I saw were in Deadhorse right off the road.  Of course they could have been south of Atigun, but I just didn't see them.  However, I was looking for animals the whole trip (when I wasn't watching the road for holes.....which I was pretty focused on).  I did spend a good amount of time with a spotting scope looking out over the Chandalar shelf.....no 'bou.  I have seen them between Coldfoot and Atigun on past trips....but very few and far between.  They're always moving.  Good luck to you....hope this helps.

By the way....saw LOTS of sheep (25-30) in a group north of the pass....glassed them for a while but no mature (legal) rams.  Lots of lambs and young rams.
