[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Tikka .338 Posted by hunt4duck on Jun 29 2005 I got my T3 Lite .338 in April and have yet to be able to shoot with confidence. First thing, is that you will want to get different rings. Front one had a piece break out from underneath twice. Back one keeps sliding forward, this has also happened twice. When that happened, obviously, shooting is off. In addition, the base of ring interferes with the shell ejection. Recoil was nasty, but I put the Limbsaver and a muzzle break on it and it is now very comfortable to shoot. I do like the gun a lot, it is light and action is very smooth, but just quite haven't got to the point that I can rely on the set up yet. I am actually going to get the Warne rings put on it today and I'm hoping that will be the last of the modifications. I spoke to someone else who has those rings on his 338 and he recommended them to me. He just has the Limbsaver and says 20 rounds is about all he wants to do. Anyway.......Good Luck Previous: Tikka T3 Lite 30-06 RTC KJN Jun 29 2005 Message Thread:
