I've not hunted up there for moose, but if I understand the hunting regs on page 107 for area 26B, there's no open season for moose along that stretch of the Haul Road.  I could be interpreting it incorrectly, but make sure you verify the rules before making any in-depth plans.  Also, it's archery only within 5 miles either side of the road for most game.
