old days at Bayou Meto

CDN DUCKHUNT, do you have some kind of operatio in Peace River area? Have a friend in the area and was thinking of getting over into that country from AK for some bird hunting one of these days.
Got me thinking about how back in the old days (20-25 years ago) the hunting on the Bayou Meto was fantastic - get up at 9:00 a.m., fiddle around in camp, then head out at noon, decoy bunches of 50-200 mallards (especially on the sunny days), shoot a limit of drakes, do it again the next day.
Heard that they only allow morning hunting except last couple days of season, that they had paved the road in to the launch area from DeWitt, and that guides had overrun the place. But heard also that there is something being done now about the guides the last year or two.
Would like to go back and do that again someday if it could be like the old days.
