Coastal Wildlife Refuge Posted by B_M on Jun 27 2005 If you don't have a hunting dog, a boat, etc., the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge is a great place to go. It stretches from Point Woranzoff to right near the Rabbit Creek shooting range. If you go on weekday mornings there's usually plenty of room to hunt alone, and the shooting can be pretty decent at times. The one catch, however, is that you have to take a basic hunter education course. They're offered quite often, and ADFG should have a listing of class times and dates.
