It is tragic and saddening that this couple lost their lives - goes to show you that no matter how well you prepare, you still did not have all the bases covered. Elders in the past and very few left it seems currently have stated emphatically to take a dog - let them listen and respond accordingly! I take my Lab and trained he is, to behave and retreive but nonetheless he is my first warning in camp or otherwise. This may not be in the interest of all but I can assure those who will heed this that they can be more safe in camps or in any kind of adventure if they do like the elders of the past. My heart and prayers to the family.
