I know that Knight's Taxidermy is charging a flat $1000 for black bear rug and I had a 6 footer that was around $900 from another taxidermist.  Check the web for prices, but, more importantly, make sure you get a good taxidermist that does good bears.  Trying to save a few nickels and getting a less than perfect mount for your "once in a lifetime" animal is a not prudent.  I use Woodland Tasidermy in Wasilla (Larry McMurphy).  Give him a call at (907)745-1134.  I am sure he can answer all your questions.
