As long as you don't plan on returning.  When the winds come out of the NNE down the Narrows from Port Valdez, they can build to 6-8 feet. It is chancy.  I have a 21 foot and have been stuck twice out of two times that time of year. A tow from Galena Bay will cost you $750 or more if your stuck.  A Crowley tug will do it for $10,000. (No joke!)
