[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] More info Posted by AkHunter45 on May 31 2005 I like dragging a burlap bag full of old rotten salmon carass' around the site, maybe a 1/4 mile full circle then hang them in tree's next to then bait site to get the scent in the air. I also like to use grease from McDonalds in a 45 gallon trash bag, it tends to harden up and won't leave a big mess on the ground for you to have to dig up and the bears will actually lay there and scoop it out with there paws, pretty funny to watch!! I also like to hang the marshmallows on tree branches, while the bear is walking around eating them, you get different views of the bear and you can check for rubs and size. When putting the barrel in position, make sure that the bear has only one way to get to it, that way there's no waiting around for him to give you a clean shot. Good hunting!
