black bears will eat any thing dead, alive, garbage, etc if they can. put grease out no guts no glory and if a brown bear
shows up dont be dissapointed a black bear will come too unless the brown bear is staying there all the time in any case carry gun loaded and ready at all times when on ground near bait site.
